LOUIS BLIZNIAK, FORMER INTERIOR DECORATOR <br> AUG. 19, 1928 -- OCT. 19, 2004

A Mass of Christian Burial for Louis Edward Blizniak was offered today in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 199 Clark St. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Cheektowaga.

A former interior decorator and active church volunteer, he died Tuesday in Sisters Hospital after a brief illness. He was 76.

A lifelong Buffalo resident, Mr. Blizniak graduated from Burgard Vocational High School. He worked for 10 years as a clerk with the Automobile Association of America in Buffalo and Amherst, retiring in 1982. He also spent 40 years as an independent interior decorator.

Mr. Blizniak was an active member of Corpus Christi Church. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Old Cathedral choir and volunteered at the Broadway Fillmore Neighborhood Information Center.

He is survived by his wife, the former Terese Wonchnicki; two daughters, Clare of Buffalo and Paula Brewer of Cohoes; a son, Peter of Alexandria, Va.; three sisters, Florence Kogutek of Lancaster, Genevieve Choinski of West Seneca and Frances Dynarski of Aiken, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
