Barbara M. DuBois, who had a great love of the outdoors, died Tuesday at home. She was 75.
Born Barbara Wright in Canandaigua, she was a graduate of Alexander High School.
She worked for 15 years at the Jell-O factory in Le Roy as a line operator and for 18 years at R.E. Chapin's in Batavia as an assembler.
A member of the Dream Lake Campers Association, she loved camping, fishing, boating and long road trips. She was known for driving straight through to a destination nearly 1,000 miles away.
A member of the Warsaw Vets Club, she also was a 22-year member of Al-Anon.
Family members say that she was their backbone and that she loved cooking and extending hospitality.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, William; two sons, William Sr. of Springwater and Paul of Monroe, Maine; a daughter, Patricia McCowen of Pavilion; a brother, Dennis Wright of Varysburg; a sister, Marjorie Venuto of Homasassa Springs, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St., Warsaw. Burial will be in Pavilion Cemetery.
