Warren J. Whitte, a longtime Buffalo resident, died Monday in a Palmetto, Fla., hospital. He was 80.
The Brooklyn native moved to the Buffalo area as a teenager. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in
Manila, the Philippines.
He sold small appliances for Westinghouse Electric Co. and later worked in the Cheektowaga plant, retiring in 1981. He and his wife moved to Florida in 1985.
Mr. Whitte was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, the former Marian Anstett; a daughter, Nancy Paskiewicz of California; a son, Kurt of Virginia; a brother, Wesley of West Falls; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday morning in Palmetto.
