Ralph Nader, the independent presidential candidate, will speak in Buffalo on Sunday at Dnipro Ukrainian Home and Cultural Center, 562 Genesee St.

The 5:30 p.m. event is open to the public, with tickets at $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Nader, considered by most political experts a deciding factor in the 2000 presidential campaign, could resurrect that role again this year. While he is registering only 1 percent of the national vote in the latest Zogby International poll, political observers believe he could emerge as a determining figure in close races in the battleground states.

Nader is on two lines on the New York ballot -- the Independence and the Peace and Justice parties.
