LIGHT THE NIGHT WALK RAISES RECORD $125,000

The sixth annual Light the Night Walk, sponsored by the Western New York and Finger Lakes Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raised a record-breaking $125,000 on Sept. 30 in Delaware Park, organizers report.

The 1.75-mile walk commemorates those who lives have been affected by cancer.

Donations will go to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and all blood cancers and to support care for patients and their families. Dave Nasca, executive vice president of First Niagara Bank, was chairman of the event.
