Amherst and Buffalo narcotics officers seized 16 pounds of a potent form of marijuana and arrested two people in a raid Wednesday night at an apartment on Sundridge Drive in Amherst, police said.
Using a search warrant signed by Erie County Judge Timothy J. Drury, officers seized the "Kind Bud" marijuana from the apartment at 258 Sundridge. Police estimated the drug's street value at more than $50,000.
Officers charged two residents, Michael Looney, 43, and Tynica T. Burns, 31, with felony possession of marijuana. After being arraigned in Amherst Town Court, they were expected to be held on an Erie County indictment warrant, police said.
