A Walden Avenue man Tuesday was ordered to remain jailed without bail after he pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and other charges in the fatal shooting of an Olympic Avenue man as the victim was trying to break up a quarrel outside his own home.

Tyrell M. Meade, 18, was denied bail by State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia at his arraignment on the indictment returned by an Erie County grand jury in the fatal shooting of Raseem Young, 26, in the 100 block of Olympic, on Sept. 27.

Deputy District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III said Meade, who has been jailed since his Oct. 3 arrest, is accused of shooting Young, the father of three, three times as the victim tried to break up a quarrel involving Meade and three other men. Young died at the scene.
