The Buffalo City Mission is once again calling on donors to help restore hope and dignity in the lives of the people the agency serves.
The mission on Tuesday announced a campaign goal of $1.2 million to assist homeless men, women and children.
For the first time in several years, the number of people sleeping, eating or participating in programs at the mission did not increase from the previous year, mission officials said.
"Last year we served 109,084 meals and provided 56,437 nights of stay. So far those numbers remain steady and we're asking our friends and donors, once again, to help us meet the needs of our community," said Thomas McLaughlin, executive director.
