Alvin Keith of Buffalo, a retired machine operator and meat cutter, died Monday in Buffalo General Hospital after a bout with cancer. He was 63.
He worked for Buffalo Pipe & Foundry for many years, followed by employment as a meat cutter in area shops.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Keith moved with his family to Montgomery, Ala., when he was 2 and he returned to Buffalo in 1963.
Survivors include his wife of seven years, Zelma Daye-Keith; a son, Brian of Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters, Marilyn, Pam, Yvette and Karen, all of Buffalo; three brothers, James and Earl, both of Buffalo, and Calvin of Montgomery, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in True Bethel Baptist Church, 907 East Ferry St. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca.
