Mary Ann Kasprzyk, an assembly line worker for just over a decade, died Saturday in Sisters Hospital hospice after a long illness. She was 66.
Born Mary Ann Kryta in Buffalo, she graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1955. She then worked for several years as a bartender at Bourbon on the Street on Route 5 in Blasdell and Encore on Broadway in Buffalo.
In the 1970s, she and her family moved to Kaisertown. From 1978 to 1988, she worked at Moog Inc. in Elma.
Family members say she loved to cook Polish food, care for her plants, crochet blankets and feed the birds and squirrels on her porch.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Eugene P.; two daughters, Lou Ann Jabczynski of San Jose, Calif., and Lorri Ann Staufenberger of West Seneca; three stepdaughters, Sharon of Clarence, Nancy of El Vado, Colo., and Cynthia Strasser of Lancaster; a son, Michael Jabczynski of Jamestown; two stepsons, Ronald of Alden and Peter of Depew; a sister, Dorothy Bova of Cheektowaga; and 15 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Barron-Miller Funeral Home, 3025 William St., Cheektowaga. Burial will be in St. Mary's-on-the-Hill, Lancaster.
