A nearly decade-old legal case involving several corn processors who allegedly fixed the price of high fructose corn syrup ended Wednesday when the last of the companies settled a class-action lawsuit.

A.E. Staley Manufacturing Co. agreed to pay $100 million, pending final approval of the U.S. District Court in Peoria, Ill. The agreement brings to $531 million the amount plaintiffs have agreed to pay to settle the lawsuit.
