Eleonora S. Kelly, a retired licensed practical nurse, died Tuesday in Select Specialty Hospital, Erie, Pa. A resident of Lake Shore Nursing Home, Irving, she was 91.
Born in Lamont, Alberta, the former Eleonora Schleef was the daughter of the late Rev. Frederick Schleef, pastor of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Wolcottsville. She had been a Silver Creek resident for most of her life.
She worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years at the former Silver Creek Hospital, the former Rhinehart Hospital, the former Hanover Hospital, all in Silver Creek, as well as Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, and the Barnes Clinic in Silver Creek.
A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she enjoyed needlework, collecting cat figurines and doing puzzles.
Her husband, George F., died in 1984.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Gutekunst of Silver Creek; two sons, George of Fredonia and Richard of Jamestown; two brothers, Theodore Schleef and Norman Schleef, both of Wolcottsville; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Porter Ave. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Lockport.
