Samuel C. Bailor, a construction and home improvement worker, died Saturday in Inter-Community Memorial Hospital, Newfane, after suffering an apparent heart attack while working on a roofing job at a home on Beebe Road in Wilson. He was 53.
Mr. Bailor was born in Niagara Falls, where he lived until moving to the City of Lockport 3 1/2 years ago.
He had worked for various companies, most recently Fiddler Roofing of Wheatfield. He also was self-employed in the home-improvement field.
Mr. Bailor enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, the former Susan Deon; a daughter, Dawn Herian of Lockport; a son, Michael Currie of Lockport; five sisters, Diane of British Columbia, Bonnie of Clearfield, Pa., Joann Cirillo and Marilyn Ellinski, both of Olanta, Pa., and Sandy of Niagara Falls; six brothers, David of Arkansas, Michael, Jimmy and Richie, all of Niagara Falls, and Timothy and Chucky, both of Clearfield; his stepmother Shelvie of Niagara Falls; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 2670 Main St., Newfane. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
