The financially troubled Vernon Downs harness track will decide whether to voluntarily surrender its track and simulcast licenses to the state.

On Friday, the track indefinitely suspended racing and simulcasting after the New York State Racing and Wagering Board said the track could no longer allow racing and wagering without cash escrow accounts to pay the winners.

The track's executive committee will vote Monday whether to willfully give up its license and the full board will decide Wednesday, said track spokesman Jim Moran.
