165 YEARS OF MINUTES WILL BE PUT ONLINE

It may take another 12 months to get all the minutes from Cheektowaga Town Board meetings dating back to 1839 online, but what's another year after waiting 165 years?

The Town Board has been able to acquire about $12,000 in grants from Erie County Legislators Raymond Dusza, D-Cheektowaga, Timothy M. Wroblewski, D-West Seneca, and Elise M. Cusack, R-Amherst.

Town Clerk Mary Holtz said her office will purchase a microfilm reader/scanner, which will enable her staff to scan Town Board minutes from microfilm to an electronic format that will allow Internet users the ability to complete a full text search.
