KENMORE MAN ACCUSED OF FILING FALSE INSURANCE

A Kenmore home improvement contractor pleaded not guilty in Niagara County Court on Thursday to charges that he filed a forged certificate of insurance at North Tonawanda City Hall.

Raymond M. Book, 24, of Kenmore Avenue, is charged with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Assistant District Attorney Charles Pitarresi said Book allegedly submitted a phony certificate of liability insurance April 19 in order to obtain a license to do construction work on a home in North Tonawanda.
