Services for Helen Humphrey Phillips will be held at 9 a.m. today in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Holmes Chapel, 724 Delaware Road, Buffalo.

Mrs. Phillips, a former Buffalo resident and school librarian, died Monday in Life Care Nursing Home in Evergreen, Colo. She was 92.

Born in West Bloomfield as Helen Humphrey, Mrs. Phillips graduated from Elmira College in 1931. She moved to Amherst around 1940 and worked as a librarian and teacher at Amherst Central High School for several years.

She moved to Buffalo in 1944 and then to Snyder in 1986 before leaving the area after her husband's death to be closer to her daughter.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and participated in Westminster Women's Activities. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Abigail Fillmore Chapter; and the Colonial Dames, Alice Putnam Chapter. She volunteered with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Red Cross.

Mrs. Phillips moved to Plano, Texas, in 1990, and Evergreen in 2000.

Her husband, Edwin S. Sr. died in 1990.

She is survived by one daughter, Betsy Rainville of Evergreen, Colo., and two grandchildren.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
