Buffalo stocks declined 1.5 percent this week, with Visteon Corp. falling and Hartmarx Corp. rising.
The Bloomberg Buffalo Index fell 3.0, or 1.5 percent, to 199.73 for the week. Forty-one stocks fell and 15 rose.
Visteon, the No. 2 U.S. maker of auto parts, led the decliners. The shares declined 80 cents, or 11 percent, to $10.04 after the company forecasted a bigger-than-expected loss for the third quarter. Astronics, an East Aurora-based maker of aircraft lighting systems, fell 47 cents, or 8.8 percent, to $4.87.
Hartmarx, a maker of men's tailored suits under brands including Hickey-Freeman, led the index's gainers. Its shares rose 62 cents, or 9 percent, to $7.52. Financial Institutions rose $1.60, or 7.7 percent, to $22.58.
