JANE A. D'AMICO, TEACHER'S AIDE, NURSE
SEPT. 4, 1948 -- JULY 20, 2004

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jane A. D'Amico, a longtime employee of St. Mary's School for the Deaf, was offered today in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5443 Tonawanda Creek Road. Her ashes will be spread over the water at Madeira Beach, Fla.

Mrs. D'Amico died Tuesday in her Pendleton home after a long battle with cancer. She was 55.

She worked at St. Mary's School for the Deaf for 32 years, first as a teacher's aide and during the last four years as a school nurse. She retired last year.

A Buffalo native, the former Jane Bauer studied nursing at Niagara County Community College.

Mrs. D'Amico enjoyed biking with her husband, gardening and travel.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, David; two daughters, Stephanie of Rochester and Katherine of Pendleton; and a son, Vincent of Boulder, Colo.
