Garden Walk 2004, featuring more than 200 private gardens on Buffalo's West Side, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Maps will be available days of tour at the senior center at Richmond Avenue and Summer Street, or the Coit House, 414 Virginia near Elmwood, as well as at Elmwood and Allentown businesses and several garden supply stores. They also can be downloaded from www.gardenwalkbuffalo.com. For information call 879-0123.

The Attica Area Garden Club will host a garden tour from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Six gardens will be featured -- three each in the villages of Attica and Wyoming. Tickets with map are $10 day of tour, including at 156 Main St., Attica, or any of the other tour homes. For ticket or tour information, call 585-591-1080 or 585-547-9558.

The Smallwood Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Harlem Road Community Center for general meeting and judging results.

The Hamburg House and Garden Club is having its annual picnic at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jackie Emerling's "country manor," at Scoby Hill. Directions will be mailed to members. Members should bring in a clear container one flower from their garden to be judged and a red, white or blue flower in small container for place setting.

The Western New York Iris Society will hold its annual Iris Sale and Auction from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 31 at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. The auction of some of the newest varieties of iris will be held at 11 a.m.

The Second Annual Porch & Garden Art Tour of the Richardson Towers Community Association will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 7. Tour; more than 30 artists setting up on porches; music; children's events. Hamburg's Village Garden Walk will take place noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 8 - rain or shine. Maps to the self-guided tour will be available at Memorial Park Bandstand, Lake and Union streets, the day of the walk.

State Sen. Byron W. Brown and the Hamlin Park Community Taxpayers' Association are sponsoring the Second Annual Welcome to Historic Hamlin Park Home and Garden Tour from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 7-8.

The display house will once again be located at 14 Blaine Ave. where participants can pick up their tour map, meet with local businesses and sponsors and enter a raffle drawing. Donations accepted.

Jerry Murray will give tours of his hosta garden at 4735 Transit Road, Orchard Park. The tours are at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays and 7 p.m. Wednesdays until fall. Call 662-9984.
