Charles F. Wright, a retired state highway worker, died Wednesday in Wyoming County Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 86.
Born in Griswold, he was employed for many years as a laborer with the state Department of Transportation.
He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Warsaw and the Warsaw Volunteer Exempt Firemen. He was a former member of the Warsaw Fire Department.
His first wife, Ruth, died in 1984. He then married the former Mildred Smith Miller.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a stepson, Roland Glosser of Warsaw.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 6 in Warsaw Cemetery.
