Tragically, religious conservatives still fail to see the worth of individuals "different" from the public norm. Aren't they contributing to society in many positive ways? Stereotyping them as unworthy of marriage to loved ones denies them basic rights, and perpetuates the notion that "gay-bashers" are providing public service.
Gays are perhaps God's test of our fair-mindedness. These are sons, daughters, friends, but is it OK to rewrite our Constitution, guaranteeing them the loss of a right given to heterosexual serial killers? I think not!
