Gerald E. Eldredge, a retired union sheet metal worker, died Sunday in his home after a brief illness. He was 70.
Born in Lockport, he was a 1951 graduate of Wilson High School and graduated from Erie County Technical Institute in 1962. He was a member of Local 71, Sheet Metal Workers, in Buffalo, retiring in 1995.
Mr. Eldredge was active with Boy Scout Troop 8, the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company and Lock City Lodge 617, Loyal Order of Moose. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Wilson Conservation Club and was a member of Lockport Lodge 73, Free & Accepted Masons.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Dodge-
Eldredge; three sons, John Clack of Hartland, Bradford Clack of Lockport and Randy of North Tonawanda; a brother, Ronald Sr. of Cambria; a sister, Linda Waild of Cambria; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
