Police were called to a 98th Street apartment late Saturday night to investigate the apparent stabbing death of a young girl.
The girl, believed to be about 9 years old, was found dead in her bedroom, said Ernest C. Palmer, chief of detectives in the Niagara Falls Police Department.
"We're questioning a relative, and we're still trying to piece together what happened," Palmer said.
Police were called at about 10 p.m. to the apartment building, which is on 98th Street near Niagara Falls Boulevard. The name of the victim and the relative who was being questioned were not available.
