THE DAILY DISH .. A SPICY SERVING OF CELEBRITY GOSSIP

And the sexiest vegetarians are ...

Hip-hop king Andre 3000 and actress Alicia Silverstone have been voted the "World's Sexiest Vegetarians" in an online poll conducted by the animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

Grammy-winning musician Andre 3000 from the group Outkast said he intended to stay a vegetarian the rest of his life. Asked what he would do on his last day on earth, he said: "I'd have sex with a beautiful woman and then go for a great meal -- some broccoli probably, because I'm a vegetarian."

Silverstone, 27, who shot to fame in the 1995 movie "Clueless," said her meatless diet had done wonders for her health and her looks. "Going vegan is the single best thing I've done in my life. I am so much happier and more confident. I made a decision based on my moral beliefs," she said.

Also in the running were actress Gwyneth Paltrow, "Spider-Man" star Tobey Maguire, teen star Alison Lohman and Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Actor Josh Hartnett and President Bush's niece Lauren Bush were voted 2003's "Sexiest Vegetarians" in PETA's first online poll last year.

A cleaner Prince ...
Prince is turning down his mojo.

"I have a responsibility to (young fans) to perform in a manner that I would like my children to be performed in front of," he says in an interview to air Tuesday on CBS News' "The Early Show."

Prince, 46, who has written songs such as "Gett Off" and "I Wanna Be Your Lover," says he's moving away from the explicitly erotic lyrics of the past. "I just want to be the best human being I can be ... on stage and off," he says. Excerpts of the interview were released in advance. Prince is listed as the No. 1 "greatest rock frontman" of all time, beating out Mick Jagger and Robert Plant, in the August issue of Spin magazine.
