The Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Buffalo area office and the Construction Exchange of Buffalo and Western New York are teaming up to provide training to more than 450 companies that belong to the Construction Exchange.

The two organizations' alliance will develop training and education programs for construction companies in the region covering safety and health hazards. It will also share "best practices" that are being used to eliminate or reduce those hazards.

OSHA will also share information on injuries, hazards and work force trends, as well as the most frequently violated standards and enforcement updates, so that member companies know what to look for when inspecting job sites.
