Judith A. Lang, 56, development office coordinator for Nichols School since 1985, died Wednesday (May 28, 2003) in her Buffalo home under Hospice care after a long battle with cancer.
The former Judith Egan organized the Hospice Bouquet Sale and coordinated many other community efforts for Nichols.
The Sacred Heart Academy graduate rowed at the West Side Rowing Club and was a gardener, a tennis enthusiast and a lover of dogs, children, cooking and entertaining.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Cornelius J.; a daughter, Carrie D. Downey of Buffalo; two sons, R. Christopher Downey and Peter C., both of Buffalo; her mother, Alma B. Egan of Buffalo; a sister, Marilyn B. Earl of Cleveland; and two brothers, Richard A. Egan of Buffalo and Daniel C. Egan of Akron.
Prayers will be said at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in Amigone Funeral Home, 1132 Delaware Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 317 Leroy Ave. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
