Buffalo sports fans will be able to relive some of the area's greatest moments at the Third Annual WNSA Sports Symposium June 13-14 at the Boulevard Mall food court.
WSNA and Empire Sports Network personalities will moderate discussions including the Bills and their Super Bowl years, the Sabres and Little Three Basketball. Guests include the French Connection -- Gilbert Perreault, Rick Martin and Rene Robert, who will speak about the Sabres' glory years in the 70s and then sign autographs from 2-4 p.m. on June 14. Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson will headline the Genesee Country Village & Museum's inaugural National Silver Ball Tournament Banquet on Aug. 23.
The tournament -- Aug. 22-24 -- will include 16 teams from across the country playing vintage baseball at the museum's Silver Base Ball Park -- the nation's only authentic 19th century baseball field. Robinson will throw out the first pitch in Sunday's tournament championship game.
The banquet will be held at the museum with a VIP reception, dinner and live auction.
Tournament three-day passes are $27 for adults and $15 for ages 4-17. Individual day passes will $12.50 and $7.50, respectively. Banquet tickets are available for $100 and packages and VIP passes are on sale. Call (585) 538-6822.
