Shirley C. Gleaton, 77, who worked at Voyager Emblems and Treichler's Greenhouse, both of Sanborn, died Wednesday (May 21, 2003) in her home after a brief illness.

Born Shirley Cardwell in Gouverneur, she came to Niagara Falls as a child in the 1930s. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.

She worked in production at Voyager Emblems and as a planter at Treichler's Greenhouse for several years.

Mrs. Gleaton moved to Wagener, S.C., in 1983 and returned to Niagara Falls last September.

Survivors include her husband, Grover L.; a son, Daryl J. of Niagara Falls; three sisters, Jean Stewart of Wilson, Patricia Hammerton of Peoria, Ill., and Karen Feathers of Youngstown; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Rhoney Funeral Home, 5893 Hoover Road, Sanborn. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
