Josephine "Billie" Scarfone, 85, who taught Sunday school for 20 years at First Assembly of God, died Tuesday (May 20, 2003) in Schoellkopf Health Care Facility after a brief illness.
She was born Josephine Valle in Cherryvale, Kan., and moved to Niagara Falls as an infant with her family. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
Mrs. Scarfone read the Bible daily and was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church and its choir.
She enjoyed completing word puzzles.
Her husband, Anthony, died in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Elena Walton of Niagara Falls.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in First Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
