FALLS BENEFIT GOLF OUTING PLANNED

NIAGARA FALLS -- The Niagara Falls Police DARE and Community Services Division will hold its 12th Annual Golf Classic to raise money to sponsor anti-drug and community service programs.

Officer Neil Stenzel said the golf tournament will be held at 11 a.m. June 2 at the Niagara Frontier County Club in Youngstown.

He said anyone interested in participating can contact him at 286-7939 by the end of this week. Registration, which will begin at 9 a.m. tournament day, is $90. That includes a cart, greens fee, a bucket of balls and lunch.

The day ends with a cash bar from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. followed by a steak dinner, which is $40, Stenzel said.

Photographer to speak on his art

LOCKPORT -- Photographer Ken Boyd will speak on antiquated technology of picture-taking at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Niagara County Historical Society, 215 Niagara St.

Boyd, official photographer for the organization, at one time owned his own studio and was in-store photographer for Hengerer's and AM&A's in Buffalo. The event is sponsored in part by the State Council on the Arts.
