CECIL H. CARNEY JR., KOREAN WAR VETERAN

Cecil H. Carney Jr., 71, of Perry, died Thursday (May 15, 2003) in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw.

A native of West Sparta, Carney worked as a heavy equipment operator for Donald G. Butler Construction Co. in Perry and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the American Legion, Perry Shrine Club and Constellation Lodge 404, F&AM.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Davis Carney; a son, Paul of Perry; a daughter, Cynthia Helmer of Warsaw; a brother, Marc of Honeoye Falls; four sisters, Ann Jaroszewski, Erma Jacobs and Beverly Pendergast, all of Perry, and Betty Fagan of Castile; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 N. Main St. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
