A SIMPLE WISH
(Rated TVG, 120 minutes) In this 1997 family film, Martin Short stars as Murray, a bumbling fairy godfather who tries to grant an 8-year-old's (Mara Wilson) wish that her father (Robert Pastorelli), a Central Park carriage driver, would land the lead role in a Broadway production of "A Tale of Two Cities." TREMORS

WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE

It's the Frank Capra-directed 1946 classic about George Bailey (James Stewart), a good-hearted, small-town businessman whose woes make him think that the world would be better off without him.
