Things to do

The Buffalo Bills try to right their ship Sunday against the Miami Dolphins at 1 p.m. (Ch. 4) at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Canisius and Niagara will renew their college basketball rivalry today at 4 p.m. at the Gallagher Center. The game will be televised by Empire.

Rhode Island of the Atlantic 10 will play the UB men's basketball team tonight at 8:15 at Alumni Arena. St. Bonaventure plays St. Louis University at 4 p.m. today in Rochester's Blue Cross Arena.

Things to view

The Buffalo Sabres play their third game in four nights tonight at 7 (Empire, Ch. 5) against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Air Canada Centre. The second game of the Hockey Night in Canada doubleheader is the Colorado Avalanche at the Edmonton Oilers at 10 p.m. on Channel 5.

There are several great college football games set for today. The best of the lot is the Notre Dame at Southern Cal game at 8 p.m. on Channel 7, with a possible spot in the BCS lineup possibly at stake. Top-ranked Miami visits Syracuse at 1 p.m. on Channel 7.

A couple of ranked men's basketball teams, Duke and UCLA, meet today at 1 p.m. on Channel 4. The Bruins already have been upset at home by San Diego. In other college basketball games, the Great Alaska Shootout final will tip off at 12:30 a.m. Sunday on ESPN2.

The New York Knicks, who have been as bad as advertised, play the New Orleans Hornets today at 1 p.m. on MSG. The New Jersey Nets face the troubled Portland Trail Blazers tonight at 10 on YES.
