It's a shame that some commentators believe that Hootie Johnson is doing something wrong -- apparently in the sense of morally wrong -- by refusing to change a tradition of not allowing women to be members of the private golf club he is chairman of in Augusta, Ga.

The only thing Johnson is guilty of opposing is one tenet of liberalism, namely the one that says "diversity" is an always-desirable goal that must be aggressively pursued because the result will inevitably be life on a higher plane for those social organisms on which it is imposed.

In fact, if there is anything immoral involved in this controversy, it might be in the overall tactical plan of the feminists: Let's see what we can do to scare, shame and financially hurt these people so that they'll eventually submit to our ideological agenda.
