Turkey Trot: Begins at 9 a.m. in front of the Delaware YMCA near the Kenmore line. About 5,000 runners of all shapes, sizes and speeds will run 8 kilometers (4.97 miles) to the Buffalo Convention Center in America's oldest continuously run road race. Register at the Y until 8:30.
Thanksgiving food delivery: Thanksgiving meals for some less fortunate families will be delivered by a group of Hilbert College criminal justice students who will deliver for the Buffalo City Mission. The students will collect the food at 10:30 a.m. at the City Mission, 100 E. Tupper St., and immediately make deliveries. James Sobol, assistant professor of criminal justice at Hilbert, will accompany the students. For information, call 649-7900, Ext. 255.
Thanksgiving service: An ecumenical service is co-sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, Lutheran Church of the Messiah and St. Peter's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's, 620 Center St. All are welcome, and refreshments are provided. Collections will be taken for local women's and children's charities.
