Being born and raised in Buffalo, I was privileged to grow up in a household with rabid, season-ticket-holding Bills fans for parents. The many bus rides with the Arkansas Lounge Sports Club to the ol' Rockpile left an indelible mark on the memories of my youth.

The NFL Films presentation on ESPN and ESPN2 last week on Lou Saban sure rehashed a lot of those memories.

Every die-hard Bills fan knows what Saban did for Buffalo Bills football, winning two AFL championships and reviving the career of a certain Hall of Fame running back. Even the great Billy Shaw was quoted as saying that he wouldn't be in the Hall of Fame if it weren't for Lou Saban.

I speak for hundreds, if not thousands, of fans when I say that Saban not only belongs on that Wall of Fame, but that honor is so very long overdue.

As Lou said, "Time is not on our side . . . let's make the most of it."
