Health for All of WNY recently launched a Web site comprised of over 5,600 Western New York health and human services. The site,, connects hundreds of community organizations across the eight-county region and offers extensive search capabilities to assist providers to quickly locate information on behalf of their clients.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority awarded a $2000 prize to Anzalone Electric of Lockport for second place in small commercial lighting design competition. The awards recognize the most innovative, effective and energy efficient lighting. The project was at Barden Homes new Lockport sales center.

Harris Computer Systems announced the acquisition of the complete MCS Spectrum business operation and product suite. MCS is a provider of software solutions for utilities and local government. Its product suite includes a customer information and billing system, a full-featured financial management system as well as local government software. Harris will continue to operate and manage the 350 utility and local government installations from the New York office as a division of Harris.

CME Associates, a construction materials testing and geotechnical services firm relocated its Buffalo operations. The facilities on Sheridan Drive are consolidating to one building at 402 Vulcan St. The mailing address and phone numbers are not changing.

GSE Communications, a developer of custom multimedia eLearning solutions, entered the UB Technology Incubator, which offers access to the technical expertise and resources of the University at Buffalo as well as business and economic development resources.

MarketSource Direct, an integrated marketing communications firm, has been contracted as one of 25 design firms worldwide to create and produce collateral work with Six Flags, a corporation that owns and operates 39 theme and water parks in eight countries including one in Darien.

Rand & Jones Enterprises won a $457,432 contract from the Air Force Reserve Command, Niagara Falls, for additions and alterations to a security police facility.

IGA, a global supermarketer based in the United States, awarded the company's Five Star rating to Wilson's Lakeside Market IGA in Wilson. The rating is earned through the consistent quality of cleanliness and operational excellence. The rating puts the store in the top 10 percent of IGA's 1,600 supermarkets nationwide. Jerry Kadryna is the Wilson store's manager.

Perry's, a family-owned and operated fourth generation ice cream manufacturer with frozen distribution services for Perry's, Ben & Jerrys, Friendly's, Haagen-Dazs, and Nestle, was recently named the recipient of the 2001 New York State Motor Truck Association Award for Fleet Safety. The honor is awarded annually to a company that has had no reported accidents over the past year in New York State. This is the seventh consecutive year that Perry's Ice Cream received the award.

C.J. Brown Energy, a professional engineering firm specializing in energy utilization, conservation and management and building commissioning, was recently awarded a term contract by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York to provide diverse energy consulting services to facilities throughout the state.

Nason's Delivery of Springville won the Trust's Safety Award for improving safety performance in the Trust's 200 1/2 002 year in recognition of their commitment to workplace safety. The Trust is a self-insurance group of fleet operators created under the New York Workers' Compensation Law.

Wolf Group Upstate announced it has a new client in the Rochester area, Schlegel Systems, which manufactures industrial and building products. The advertising agency will create a print advertising campaign and trade show materials for the building products division of the 110-year-old company.

Strippit/LVD recently introduced its new Alpha CNC turret punch press, a new generation single station punching machine with productivity enhancing features such as a Windows 2000 PC control and a CNC controlled programmable indexing mechanism which enables the use of a three- or eight-station indexable multitool.

BCS, an energy services company and control systems integrator, was awarded a contract by the Rochester Technology Park to provide sitewide energy control and Web-based tenant billing for the 5.5 million square foot complex. In addition, BCS will provide web-enabled utility monitoring services for RTP's steam, chilled water, electric and compressed air services.
