Linda Giambrone, chief clerk of Batavia City Court, has been awarded the state court system's Quality Service Award for her assistance to court staffers and the public.
Giambrone will be presented the award during a ceremony at the Genesee County Courts Facility 6.
A Batavia City Court worker since August 1971 and that court's chief clerk since March 1, 1976, Giambrone was selected based on surveys of courtrooms statewide and on-the-job evaluations of the state court system's more than 14,000 nonjudicial employees, State Supreme Court Justice Vincent E. Doyle said.
The court system awards program was instituted last year to honor court workers statewide for initiating meaningful services that benefit the courts and the community.
Giambrone openly displays her love for her job and for the people with whom she works.
