ALEXANDER -- The state Department of Transportation will have two public information sessions on the Route 63 Traffic Corridor study. The first session will be 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 10 in Geneseo State College's Newton Hall. A second session is set for 7 p.m. Dec. 11 in Alexander Central High School, 3314 Buffalo St.

State officials said a detailed summary of the data collected on corridor travel patterns, roadway features and accident history will be presented at each meeting.

GCC names fund-raising chairmen

BATAVIA -- David J. and Danette Grayson of Stafford have been named to lead Encore 2002, a holiday fund-raising event benefiting the Genesee Community College's Scholarship Fund.

The Dec. 12 event includes a gourmet reception in the GCC Forum and a holiday pops concert by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

Last year's event raised $34,840.

The Graysons are owners of LP Graphics in Le Roy.
