HENRY B. BIELAWA

A Mass of Christian Burial for Henry B. Bielawa, 82, a retired machinist, will be offered at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Gualbert Catholic Church, 83 Gualbert Ave., Cheektowaga.

Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Lancaster.

Bielawa died unexpectedly Saturday (Nov. 16, 2002) at his Cheektowaga home.

He was born in Buffalo, where he attended parochial school and later vocational school.

He worked for the New York Central Railroad, Curtiss-Wright Corp. and then for 18 years was a machinist at Dresser Industries in Depew before retiring in 1983.

Bielawa, who lived in Cheektowaga for 40 years, was active at St. John Gualbert Church and the Cheektowaga Senior Center. He enjoyed gardening, baseball, bicycling, golf and hockey.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, the former Alice Wojtowicz of Cheektowaga, and a sister, Esther Moscicki of Batavia.
