GETTING AROUND

1 I-90: Continuing construction along the eastbound and westbound Thruway, between William Street in Cheektowaga and Route 400 in West Seneca, will result in lane reductions, areas without shoulders and a work-zone speed limit of 45 mph. Motorists should use alternate routes during peak travel times. Traffic impact moderate. The project is expected to be completed in December.

2 East Robinson Road: Continuing this week, the East Robinson Road bridge, between Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst and Sweeney Street in North Tonawanda, will have lane restrictions. Traffic impact moderate.

3 I-190 southbound: Continuing this week, ramps to the eastbound and westbound Thruway in Cheektowaga will be reduced to one lane. The southbound right lane beyond the Ogden Street on-ramp will be closed.

4 Main Street (Route 5): Continuing this week, Monday through Saturday, Main between Brompton Road and Transit Road in Amherst will be reduced to one lane. Traffic impact moderate.

Continuing this week, Main between Sheridan and Hillcrest drives in the Town of Clarence will have shoulder restrictions and lane shifts. Estimated completion date is Nov. 30. Also, Main between Youngs and Transit roads will have shoulder restrictions. This project will not wrap up until late 2003. Traffic impact minimal.

5 Michigan Avenue: The Michigan Avenue bridge in Buffalo will be closed from Seneca to Scott streets through fall 2003. Detours are posted. Traffic impact minimal.

6 Broadway: Broadway, from Transit Road and Aurora Street in the Village of Lancaster, will have lane restrictions. Traffic impact moderate. Estimated completion date is November 2003.

7 I-190 northbound: Continuing this week, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, there will be lane restrictions northbound from beyond the Whitehaven Boulevard exit on Grand Island to the Robert Moses Parkway in Niagara Falls. Traffic impact minimal.

8 Orchard Park Road: Continuing this week, traffic traveling in the northbound and southbound lanes, between Southwestern Boulevard and School Street, will be shifted to the west side of the road. Traffic impact moderate. Estimated completion date is spring 2003.
