Emily T. Hanrahan, 87, who had worked as a medical secretary and as a buyer for a department store, died Thursday (Nov. 14, 2002) at home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
The former Emily Trowman was born in Welland, Ont., and moved to Niagara Falls with her family as a child, attending local schools.
She had worked as a medical secretary for several physicians, and later was a buyer for Jenss department store.
Mrs. Hanrahan was a former member of Epiphany Episcopal Church.
Her husband, John L., died in 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Schrack of Youngstown and Gail Kambouris of New York City; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Rhoney Funeral Home, Cayuga and South Ninth streets, Lewiston. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
