The Lewiston-Porter School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Primary Building on Creek Road.
The meeting will begin behind closed doors while the members meet with Clark Godshall, superintendent of the Orleans-Niagara Board of Cooperative Educational Services. He will discuss potential candidates for school superintendent. The regular open portion of the meeting is scheduled to begin at 7.

The County Legislature will meet at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Courthouse, Park Avenue and Hawley Street, Lockport.
The meeting will begin with a public hearing on a new law allowing the county to foreclose on properties with unpaid taxes two years after the tax bills are sent. The county currently uses a four-year cycle. A vote on the law is anticipated at the regular meeting that follows the hearing.

USA Niagara Development Corp. announced last month that Buffalo developer Carl Palladino would be given the landmark structure for $1 for a $5.2 million upscale, mixed-use commercial, office and residential development in the city's tallest building.

The Friends of Youngstown Free Library will host "The State of the River," a public forum on the ecosystem of the Lower Niagara River, at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Youngstown Fire Hall at Third and Ellicott streets.
Mike Basile of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be on hand to discuss the river's recent history and efforts to improve its condition. He will be available for a question-and-answer period after his presentation.
The board of trustees of Niagara County Community College will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the president's outer offices of the Notar Administration Building. The college is located at 3111 Saunders Settlement Road.
