Princess Margaret was undergoing tests in a London hospital Tuesday in the latest health scare for the 71-year-old sister of Queen Elizabeth II.
Buckingham Palace declined to give any details on why Margaret was admitted Monday to the King Edward VII Hospital. British press reports said the princess was being tested for possible stomach problems.
A palace spokeswomen, who declined to be identified, said: "The princess has been admitted for tests and is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days. Her close family have been informed."
"There is no cause for alarm," she added.
Margaret, who suffered strokes in March and in 1998, looked frail as she arrived at the private hospital in central London.
