Frederick J. Henn Jr., 83, retired co-owner of Rockelman and Henn Pump Co. of Kenmore, died Saturday (Oct. 27, 2001) in his Amherst home after a brief illness.
The Buffalo native served in the Army during World War II in New Guinea and the Philippines and attained the rank of staff sergeant.
He retired from the business in 1986.
A self-taught organist, he was founder of the Schober Organ Orphans.
He was an avid vegetable gardener and edited a newsletter on alternative medicine.
He is survived by his wife, Frances C. Brondo Henn; a daughter, Kathy A. Freeman of Stockton; a son, Frederick J. III of Amherst; two brothers, Richard and Robert, both of Pendleton; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
