Domonic J. Ferlazzo, 64, who served 20 years in the U.S. Army, died Saturday (Oct. 27, 2001) in Lakeside Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Ferlazzo was born in Rochester and raised in Medina. He graduated from Medina High School in 1956.
An Army veteran, he was stationed in South Korea and Italy and served a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1969-70. He retired with the rank of master sergeant in 1976.
Ferlazzo was a quality-control inspector for Monroe County Board of Cooperative Educational Services 2 in Spencerport from 1989 to 1999, inspecting scientific equipment kits distributed to member schools for classroom use.
He was an avid golfer.
Ferlazzo lived in Medina until 1990, when he moved to Holley. He moved to Brockport in the mid-1990s.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, the former Mary Lou Robles; a son, Thomas of Schenectady; a daughter, Lisa Marriner of Columbia, S.C.; his mother, Frances M. of Medina; two stepdaughters, Ricci Ann Breeze of San Antonio, Texas, and Elsa Sanders of Chesterfield, Mich.; a sister, Mary Ann Underdown of Medina; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 211 Eagle St., Medina.
