Sisterhood of Temple Shaarey Zedek will sponsor a Shabbat dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 2 in the temple, preceding the "Ayshet Ha-yil - Women of Valor" Shabbat service at 8. Lise Rodwin, chief of the Erie County district attorney's sex crimes and domestic violence bureau, will speak on "Violence in the Jewish Home: Myth or Reality?" Chairwomen are Elaine Brothman and Bobbie Vishner. Helen Bergman is dinner chairwoman. Rachel Anderson and Tracy Sherman are in charge of the service.

The Bergholtz Band will entertain at an Oktoberfest party for members of Inner Harbor Yacht Club Saturday in the clubhouse. George C. Ballsmith is chairman of the event, which will begin with a German style supper.

Greater Buffalo Alumnae Panhellenic and University at Buffalo President William A. and Carol A. Greiner will give a tea from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the home of the Greiners in Amherst for students in UB, Buffalo State College, Canisius College and Niagara University who are members of sororities belonging to National Panhellenic Conference, their advisers and local alumnae chapter presidents.

Marjorie Frisbee Suggs will give a program, "Lighthouses, Their Keepers and the Buffalo Waterfront," for Abigail Fillmore Chapter of National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Friday at a noon meeting in the Chapel on North Forest Road.

St. Joseph Hospital Women's Guild is sponsoring a "Christmas Treasures" flea market today and Friday at the hospital gift shop.
