MARY LOUISE ARMSTRONG, LEW-PORT TEACHER

Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Armstrong, 52, a language arts teacher in the Lewiston-Porter School District for 22 years, died Wednesday (Oct. 24, 2001) in her home after a lengthy illness.

Born Mary Louise Daniels in Niagara Falls, she was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.

She then attended Potsdam State College, graduating with a bachelor's degree in education.

While at Lew-Port, Mrs. Armstrong was active in the Staff Development Program, served as Middle School building representative and was honored as Teacher of the Year in 1996.

Survivors include a daughter, Adrienne D. Bradley; a son, Jamie D.' her mother, Margaret Daniels; and a sister, Phyllis Coulter, all of Lewiston; and a brother, Russell Daniels of the Town of Niagara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 620 Center St., after prayers at 11:15 in M.J. Colucci and Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St., Niagara Falls.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
