Titus J. Richardson of Buffalo, a longtime General Motors Corp. worker, died unexpectedly Saturday (Oct. 20, 2001) in Buffalo General Hospital. He was 74.
A native of Riceboro, Ga., Richardson was drafted into the Army Air Forces in the early 1940s. Upon leaving the service, he completed his education at Liberty County (Ga.) High School and Savannah State College.
He moved to Buffalo in the early 1950s, taking a job at Bethlehem Steel Corp. In 1956, he took a job with GM's Tonawanda Forge Division, retiring in 1986.
Richardson was a member of St. John Baptist Church.
He enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, the former Pauline Harris; two sisters, Rosemary LeCount of Riceboro and Alberta Bullard of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and a brother, Johnny of West Palm Beach.
Services and burial will be Saturday in Riceboro.
